GUWAHATI: Continuing their action against unhygienic food-related units and businesses without due permission, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation carried out another drive on Wednesday against fish and meat shops operating without necessary specifications.
According to the officials, at least 61 businesses were raided by the officials during the operation on Wednesday. These businesses were spread across Bharalumukh, Kamakhua Gate, Bhutnath and Pandu localities of the city. The raid led to the imposition of fines amounting to Rs 32500 and even the cancellation of trade licences of a few businesses.
