GUWAHATI: In an operation against the recurring incidents of theft in the city, a team from the Jalukbari Outpost under the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) was able to bust a gang of thieves on Wednesday.
Three thieves were arrested during this operation. They were Uday Das (23), a resident of Biyoy Nagar; Dipankar Das (24); and Dipak Das (22), belonging to Palashbari. The police team was also able to recover two bags from their possession containing stolen items during this operation. The value of the stolen items is said to be around Rs 50,000. Guwahati Police has initiated legal action against the attested thieves.
