Guwahati Refinery gifts educational items to Blind Higher Secondary School

Under its CSR initiatives, Guwahati Refinery on Wednesday handed over a few educational aids to the Guwahati Blind Higher Secondary School

GUWAHATI: Under its CSR initiatives, Guwahati Refinery on Wednesday handed over a few educational aids to the Guwahati Blind Higher Secondary School, stated a press release.

The varied items, including Braille paper, Braille arithmetic board, Braille slate, stylus, a few musical instruments and computer sets were handed over to the school authority in a befitting programme organized at the school premises.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Singh, Executive Director & Refinery Head of Guwahati Refinery, expressed his happiness at getting the opportunity to provide the required items, which would further help the students in their studies along with other co-curricular activities. He urged the students to believe in themselves and to put their best efforts in whichever field they opt for in their lives.

Bhaben Barman, principal of Guwahati Blind Higher Secondary School, expressed his thanks to the Guwahati Refinery management for the caring gesture, which would further enable the students to pursue their studies without any difficulties. It may be mentioned that Guwahati Blind Higher Secondary School, situated at Latakata area of the city, is a residential school which currently houses around 90 students.
