GUWAHATI: Family members of Sam Stafford, who died in police firings during the anti-Citizenship(Amendment) Bill protests in Assam, staged a demonstration, on Friday, December 10, 2021.

On this day in 2019, Sam attained martyrdom. His family members staged protests at their home located in the Hatigaon area, Guwahati. They demanded justice and recognition for Sam as a martyr displaying play cards.

She also expressed displeasure over the artists and students' outfits who took part and organised protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

Sam's brother-in-law also fumed at the silence of some CAB or CAA protests' leaders and demanded them to raise a voice so that the five youths who lost their lives during the protests may get justice.

"We are not satisfied with what Samujjal Kr. Bhattacharya, Zubeen Garg, Akhil Gogoi, Barsha Rani Bisoya are doing today. We demand they should come forward and raise a voice," he added.
