GUWAHATI: In the recent murder case, where the body of Anju Dorjee was found dead in a rented apartment, police were able to detain her live-in partner, Mani Khan, on Sunday. According to sources, after Anju Dorjee was found dead, Mani Khan absconded. The Dispur Police conducted a search operation to find his whereabouts and were able to detain him on Sunday.
Anju Dorjee was 25 to 26 years old and was from Bokajan. The incident came to light when the owner of the apartment found a foul odour in the flat where Anju Dorjee and Mani Khan used to live.
The Crime Investigation Department (CID) collected finger print evidence from the crime scene at Purbasa Apartment in Guwahati’s Six-Mile area on Monday.
