GUWAHATI: In view of numerous complaints by customers against Rapido, Ola and Uber, the Transport Department has opened a helpline number where customers can register their complaints regarding alleged unfair practices and violation of consumer rights.

Complaints against these transport service providers include deficiency in service such as lack of proper response from customer support, drivers refusing to take payment by online mode and insisting on cash payment, high amounts charged despite travelling on the same route previously at a lesser charge, unprofessional behaviour by drivers and drivers refusing to switch on the vehicle's AC when the consumer is promised an AC ride on the app. From now on, customers can lodge their complaints about these kinds of incidents at the helpline number 95311-07482.
