GUWAHATI: Police arrested a drug peddler at Gorchuk on Monday night. The peddler has been identified as Fairuz Zaman from Tamulpur. Police seized 34 soap boxes containing heroin.
Based on his confession during interrogation, police arrested another drug peddler named Sofikul Hussain from Alengmari, Bijni. Police recovered 16 soap cases containing heroin from his possession. A total of 750 gm heroin worth around Rs 6 crore was seized.
