Holographic project show at Guwahati's Gandhi Mandap to display after Diwali

The shows will depict historical events and characters like that of Bhagadutta, Lachit Barphukan and his valour, Maniram Dewan, freedom fighters of Assam

GUWAHATI: Even as Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Rs 13-crore holographic display (holographic project show) at Gandhi Mandap on October 2, 2022, the shows are yet to start. Works on the project are currently underway.

An official of Guwahati Smart City Ltd (GMCL) said, "Though the GMCL launched the holographic display on October 2, we have some works to do even now. It is the first of its kind in the Northeast. We hope to start the holographic display after Diwali. We have not yet fixed the prices of tickets. The show will start after 6 pm. Each screening will take nearly 40 minutes."

According to sources, the shows will depict historical events and characters like that of Bhagadutta, Lachit Barphukan and his valour, Maniram Dewan, freedom fighters of the state.
