HSLC examination: Shishu Shiksha Samiti Assam felicitates students

GUWAHATI: The Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam on Monday felicitated five students from various schools run by the organization who secured ranks in the merit list of the recently-announced HSLC examination.

A total of 9,090 students from 294 schools run by the Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam in the State appeared in the examination. Out of them, 5,071 students secured 1st Division marks, 2,620 students secured 2nd Division marks and 645 students secured 3rd Division marks. As many as 1,374 students secured Star marks and 1,086 students secured distinction marks. The pass percentage was 91.71 per cent.

The students who were felicitated today were Bidisha Nath (9th position from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Chairaibahi), Kaustav Jyoti Nath (10th position from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Nalbari), Anurag Bora (10th position from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Majuli), Drishtimita Bora (10th position from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Nalbari) and Dibyajyoti Lahkar (10th position from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Nalbari).

The event was attended, among others, by chief guest PSLN Murthy, chairman of NEDFi, and Kulendra Kumar Bhagwati, general secretary of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam.
