GUWAHATI: A delegation of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) today met the Secretary of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and the chairperson of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) regarding the declaration of results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam and the Higher Secondary (HS) final exam.
The delegation, in the meeting with the SEBA secretary, said that the HSLC result was supposed to be declared on May 25 but this is not likely to happen. The delegation expressed concern over the delay in declaration of results and demanded that the results should not be declared before May 30.
The SEBA secretary told the delegation that some works were yet to be completed and hence the results had been delayed. Another reason for the delay was the ongoing Gunotsav. The SEBA secretary, however, assured the AASU delegation that the HSLC results would be declared before June 5.
Similary, the AHSEC chairperson also assured that delegation that the HS final exam results would be declared before June 20.
