ICCCC expert arrives in Guwahati city to investigate cyber crimes

GUWAHATI: An expert of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (ICCCC) from New Delhi came to Guwahati to investigate the recent cyber crimes in the city. According to sources, the expert arrived on Wednesday and returned after having a discussion with the officials on Thursday. After the city police busted the fake call centres, the expert arrived in Guwahati to look into the matter.

Recently, the Guwahati Police busted fake call centres in various parts of the city and detained 191 people. Among the 191, 26 were arrested. Meanwhile, an investigation into busting out fake call centres is being carried out.

An operation was carried out on the second floor of Megha Plaza in the Basistha locality in Guwahati in the presence of arrested accused Rajan Sidana (39) from Ludhiana and Divyam Arora (31) from Delhi. The police seized several objectionable documents during the operation.
