IIE launches two new products at Janjatiya Gaurav Divas celebration in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has set up a stall to showcase wide range of products under brand TRISSAM procured from tribal communities in Aadi Bazar on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2022. Organized by TRIFED at Lakhidhar Bora Khetra Dighalipukhuri, the stall was inaugurated on Tuesday Queen Ojha, MP of Guwahati, in the presence of Dr Lalit Sharma, Director IIE, and other dignitaries.

While inaugurating the stall, Ojhaalso launched two new products – Foxtail millet and handmade soap under brand name TRISSAM and a new product-line under the same brand, by the name TRISSAMFRESH.

Janjatiya Gaurav Divas is being observed to mark the birth anniversary of tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda and to remember the contribution of tribal freedom fighters.

The new product-line by the name TRISSAMFRESH has fresh fruits, vegetable products. In addition to the new products, IIE is also displaying a wide range of products under its brand TRISSAM, which have been procured from the beneficiaries supported under the Pradhan Mantri Van DhanYojana Scheme (PMVDY) that is being implemented in the State by the institute. IIE has been implementing the scheme as a resource agency on behalf of State Implementing agency-APTDC, sponsored by TRIFED. Under PMVDY, TRIFED has already sanctioned 302 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras Clusters across Assam, wherein beneficiaries from the tribal communities are trained and supported in their journey to attain a sustainable livelihood.
