GUWAHATI: Indian Institute of Technology are one of the best-recognized Indian brands in the world and possibilities in IITs are going up, said Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, while addressing the students, faculty and staff members of IIT-Guwahati today.
He urged the students to have a problem-solving approach in their engineering so that it would benefit society. He further said that engineers must have a vision for their country. He said that the last 8 years have been very important for the country as the present government is trying to approach the longstanding issues which are existed in the society.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that IIT-Guwahati has immense potential which needs to be properly explored. He said that IIT Guwahati is known for its environment of academic excellence in the entire country. The globally competitive human resource and research activities carried out at this institute have significantly benefitted society, he added, a press release said.
