GUWAHATI: The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) observed Vigilance Awareness Week as per the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). This year’s theme is ‘Say No to Corruption: Commit to the Nation’. Observance of Vigilance Week every year is part of the multi-pronged approach of the Central Vigilance Commission, where a key strategy is to implement the policy of ‘Zero Tolerance Against Corruption’.

Dr. Lalit Sharma, the director, while addressing the gathering, urged the employees to promote and uphold ethical values since corruption is one of the major obstacles to the overall development of the country.

IIE conducted various activities, like slogan and essay writing competitions, to create awareness among all the stakeholders and employees. Workshops and sensitization programmes on preventive vigilance measures, a reel or video on vigilance, and a seminar on Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers Resolution (PIDPI) for employees were also held during the week. The Integrity Pledge was also administered to the officials and employees as part of the programme.
