Interactive session held with 'Forest Man' Jadav Payeng

GUWAHATI: A interactive session christened as the 'Touch of Humanity' was organized with Padmashree Jadav Payeng on Wednesday.

The session discussed the positive aspects of nature and also of our duty towards the conservation of the natural diversity. The session was held on the occasion of the 'World Nature Conservation Day'.

Payeng dwelt on his experiences with natural diversity along with his moves for plantation and conservation of nature. Expressing his love for nature, he dwelt on how since his childhood he started the process of plantation by planting "Betel (locally known as 'paan') leaves and highlighted his whole journey.

In his words of encouragement it was clearly mentioned that conservation of natural diversity shouldn't be limited to the specific days of 'World Environmental Day' or the 'World Nature Conservation Day'; and added that it should be a part of our daily lives.

Payeng also shared his travel histories and experiences with various sections of the society. He appealed to the students, public, social media personals to take active part on conservation of forest and natural diversity.
