GUWAHATI: Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation's (JSF) Northeast Chapter chairman Sailendra Pandey hailed Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his recent decision to close down all government-run madrassas in the State and convert them into general schools from November. Addressing a JSF's national webinar recently, Pandey also claimed that such a bold decision to close down all government-run madrassas in the State by minister Himanta Biswa Sarma would surely benefit the education system in the State and thus, help the nation to fight against the expanding population.
