GUWAHATI: A delegation of JB Law College Students' Union (JBLCSU) sent a memorandum to the Chairman of the Bar Council of India through the Bar Council of Assam requesting him to increase the number of seats in all the government law colleges in the State by 25 per cent.

JBLCSU president Prashant Agarwal said, "We've to raise such a demand as the students of the State couldn't go outside the State for admission in law courses due to the COVID-19 situation.

Responding to the memorandum, the Chairman of the of the Bar Council of India said, "I'll raise the issue before the Legal Education Committee."
