Joint meeting of BJP-AGP spokespersons held in Guwahati

The state BJP and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) had a joint meeting with the spokespersons at the state BJP headquarters at Basistha on Thursday.

GUWAHATI: The state BJP and Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) had a joint meeting with the spokespersons at the state BJP headquarters at Basistha on Thursday.

The meeting discussed in detail how to work more harmoniously in the coming days. The Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State Government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have undertaken numerous welfare programmes for the development of the country and the state, and the meeting decided to carry out these programmes more effectively among the people. The meeting also decided that the media departments of both parties would jointly formulate a policy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and all the other elections.

The meeting was attended by state BJP general secretaries and MPs Pallab Lochan Das and Dipluranjan Sharma, political secretary and MP to the chief minister Pavitra Margherita, state BJP chief spokesperson Manoj Barua, convener of the state BJP media department Dewan Dhrubajyoti Maral, AGP vice presidents Dilip Patgiri and Sunil Deka, AGP general secretary and MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita, AGP general secretary Manoj Saikia, and spokespersons of both parties were present.
