JP Nadda constitutes four key committees of State BJP

BJP’s national president JP Nadda has constituted four important committees of the State party unit Core Committee, Finance Committee, State Election Committee & Discipline Committee.

GUWAHATI: BJP's national president JP Nadda has constituted four important committees of the State party unit – Core Committee, Finance Committee, State Election Committee and Discipline Committee.

The 16-member Core Committee comprises State unit president Bhabesh Kalita, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, MP & national general secretary Dilip Saikia, Union Minister of State Rameswat Teli, State Cabinet Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, MP (Lok Sabha) Queen Oja, State Cabinet Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, State general secretary (organization) Phanindra Nath Sharma, State executive member Ratan Teron, State vice-presidents Bijuli Kalita Medhi and Topon Kumar Gogoi (MP), State executive member Bimal Oswal, and State general secretaries Pallab Lochan Das (MP), Pulak Gohain and Diplu Ranjan Sharma. The special invitee members of the Core Committee are national vice-president and Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, State co-in-charge Pawan Sharma, national spokesperson and North-East coordinator Sambit Patra and national secretary and joint coordinator, North-East, Rituraj Sinha.

The five-member Finance Committee will be headed by Narayan Deka, with member-secretary Raj Kumar Sharma and members Manoj Saraf, Vijay Kumar Gupta and Krishnendu Paul.

The State Election Committee will comprise State unit president Bhabesh Kalita, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, MP & national general secretary Dilip Saikia, State Cabinet Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, State general secretary (organization) Phanindra Nath Sharma, State Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal, State vice-president Rajdeep Roy (MP), State Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika, MP (Rajya Sabha) Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, State vice-president Naba Kumar Doley, State Cabinet Minister Nandita Garlosa, State president, OBC Morcha, Ashwini Roy Sarkar and MLA Prasanta Phukan. State Mahila Morcha president Angoorlata Deka will be the ex-officio member of this committee, while the special invitee members of the committee are national vice-president and Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, State co-in-charge Pawan Sharma, national spokesperson and North-East coordinator Sambit Patra and national secretary and joint coordinator, North-East, Rituraj Sinha.

The five-member Discipline Committee will be headed by Mission Ranjan Das, with Bijan Mahajan as member-secretary and Rekha Rani Das Boro, Dhruba Prasad Baishya and Bhaben Sarma as members.
