GUWAHATI: A 47-year-old farmer was severely injured after he was attacked by a herd of elephants at Joipur village under Rani Out Post on Tuesday. The incident occurred after the villagers confronted the herd, which was grazing at the crop fields. The victim has been identified as Nilkumar Kosari. Man-elephant conflict has become common in this village as the jumbos regular come down to the area from the nearby forest in search of food.
