Kamrup (M) district administration re-imposes No helmet, no petrol

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (Metro) District Road Safety Committee has decided to re-impose the 'no helmet no petrol' rule to reduce the number of road accidents.

Officials and employees of both government and non-government offices will have to strictly adhere by this rule. No one will be allowed to enter the office premises if they do not wear a helmet while coming to office. Students of both schools and colleges will have to abide by this rule as well or they will not be allowed to enter the premises of their educational institutions..

In addition to this, if a driver is found not wearing a seat belt while driving a car, he will have to pay a hefty fine.
