GUWAHATI: The Koch Rajbongshi National Convention (KRNC) on Friday demanded the State government to take action against various syndicates and illegal trades that are running across the State. Slamming the Sarbananda Sonowal led-governement, KRNC general secretary Biswajit Ray said that in its first ever Cabinet meeting, decisions were taken to close illegal toll gates and syndicates in the State. Taking a jibe at the State government, Ray reiterated that the government had promised to close the syndicates operating in the region. "The CM is not paying heed to this matte despite various reports have been published in print and electronic media. The government is trying to suppress the issues rather than solving them," he underlined. The KRNC demanded the closure of the Sagoliya and Sreerampur gates. It asserted that action should be taken against those officials and persons who are involved in the illegal trades. The body said if their demands are not met they will be forced to stage protests against these syndicates and illegal trade.
