Guwahati: The Guwahati police announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 for the two suspected accused who were allegedly involved in the sensational Kumarpara killing incident.
City Commissioner of Police, Deepak Kumar also informed that based on the investigation, two suspected accused involved in the crime incident were identified and their photos have been circulated amongst the public.

Guwahati police also contacted the CID ADG in Bihar and also shared the details and photographs of the two suspected accused and also sought for their help in the crime incident.
Commissioner of Police Deepak Kumar on Kumarpara Murder Incident
City Commissioner of Police, Deepak Kumar on Saturday addressing the media informed that so far 58 people have been detained for interrogation in connection to Kumarpara Murder Incident.
CP Kumar also mentioned that the city police have detained 18 people from West Police District, 18 people from Central District and 22 from East Police District for questioning.
All the necessary clues are being collected and CCTV footages are being monitored by the investigating team of the Assam Police Department, informed CP Kumar.
It may be mentioned that as per prima facie investigation, City Police is suspecting it to be a case of mistaken identity as the gang of five assailants shot dead Shyam Chandra Ratawa from the point-blank range at the office of M/s Kureshia Steels located in Kumarpara, believing him to be the owner of the shop.
