GUWAHATI: 'Lachit: The Warrior,' an animated short biopic film based on the life and achievements of great Ahom General of Assam- Lachit Barphukan, won the Best Animation Film award in the prestigious 7th Chambal International Film Festival.
The 7th Chambal International Film Festival was held from 9th to 10th September, 2023. This year 184 films in various categories from 32 countries including India, Taiwan, USA, UK, Vietnam, Egypt, Australia, Iran, Spain, Portugal, Serbia and Turkey gained official entry in the festival.
Lachit: The Warrior won the Best Animation Film award in this prestigious international festival. Lachit: The Warrior has been directed by DIG of Assam Police's Special Task Force (STF) Partha Sarathi Mahanta, and produced by Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah. The narration has been done by litterateur and educationist Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury.
