GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) has appealed to traders, transporters and members to limit the business hours from 9 am to 5.00 pm till June 30 from Monday to Saturday.

The decision was taken due to the sudden increase in number of positive cases of coronavirus in Kamrup (Metro) in all sections of society.

The KCC has requested all its members to follow the Assam government guidelines strictly and thus helping in preventing the COVID outbreak from taking a serious dimension in the district. The Chamber instructed the business establishments to ensure every customer entering their premises follows the basic guidelines like wearing of masks, social distancing and hand sanitization.

It asked the establishments to advise their marketing executives and other people to promote products over call or do video conferencing thus reducing visits. The establishments have been strictly advised to maintain the distance from outside Assam drivers, handyman, and labours at the shops, godowns and also proper sanitization for everyone.
