GUWAHATI: The 39 organizational districts of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) lodged as many as 283 FIRs in various police stations in the State today against Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Bora for his recent statement of Lord Srikrishna vis-à-vis 'love jehad'.
BJYM's state president, Sidhanku Ankur Barua, said in a statement, "State Congress president Bhupen Bora made a public statement relating Lord Krishna to love jehad and connecting love jehad with the Mahabharata. This statement has exposed the Congress' anti-India, anti-Indian culture, and anti-Sonatan Hindu faith. His statement is also a threat to the Assamese way of life. We demand the immediate arrest of Bhupen Borah so as to bring him to justice."
