GUWAHATI: The IndianOil issued a notification on Tuesday debunking the reports by a section of the media that there is a possibility of a scarcity of domestic LPG in the market due to a probable strike by the LPG transporters of North Guwahati Bottling Plant of IndianOil.

Issuing a clarification, IndianOil assured its consumers that adequate domestic LPG is available and there is no possibility of scarcity of domestic LPG as on date.

"IndianOil would also like to inform all consumers that there is no strike notice from any transporter. All processes are as per documented guidelines and governed by the tender terms and conditions, which is a part of the transportation contract," stated the notification.

Addressing the issue, Chief General Manager & State Head of IndianOil in the North East G Ramesh said, "We have a transparent system of resolving complaints wherein people are encouraged to approach us with specifics, so that issues if any are resolved in a manner that is fair to all stakeholders."
