Man sets himself afire to death at Panjabari in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A youth, Pranay Chetri (39) burnt himself to death at Mangolane at Panjabari here on Friday night.

According to Satgaon Police, Cheri, a frustrated youth, cut his own hands, consumed phenyl and made an attempt to set himself afire with an LPG cylinder. When people nearby prevented him from doing that, he entered his room and set himself fire, the police said.

According to the police, when fire tenders doused the fire, Chetri was found dead. Other goods of the room were also burnt.
