Minister Ashok Singhal checks on River Front Beautification in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Ashok Singhal today visited the Old CP Bungalow premises at Pan Bazar in Guwahati to take stock of the riverfront development project.

During his visit, the minister took of the ongoing progress of the under-construction park, a key component of the ambitious River Front Beautification Project. He issued directives to contractors and workers while emphasizing the need to expedite the project's completion. The goal is to dedicate this picturesque riverfront park to the people of Assam in time for the upcoming festive season. GMDA Chairman Narayan Deka and senior officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs (DoHUA) and the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) were present to ensure a coordinated and efficient execution of the project. The Brahmaputra riverfront beautification project is set to redefine Guwahati's scenic landscapes, promising a brighter and more vibrant future for the city and its residents.
