GUWAHATI: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) President and Agriculture and Veterinary Minister, Atul Bora shared his feelings with the media in this season of Rongali Bihu. The minister is very optimistic about the coming days, and said, "The days to come after Rongali Bihu will be very crucial for AGP, since the Lok Sabha elections are approaching. People of Assam want AGP to have a strong representation not only in the Rajya Sabha but in the Lok Sabha as well. And through that representation, the problems and the burning issues of Assam will come to light in the Lok Sabha in the parliament. In fact, a strong representation in the Lok Sabha will help us in solving the current issues of Assam."
Bora further said, "AGP leadership wants to fulfill and work for the needs of the people of Assam. The party has already prepared its plans and programs to carve out a niche in the Lok Sabha. In this regard, the party workers must show their enthusiasm to make room in the Lok Sabha. The new blood also showed a strong support for the party."
"Moreover, AGP looks forwards to strengthening the local representation in Assam for a safe and bright future of the people of Assam. And we will make an agenda for the whole organization so that the party brings success in the upcoming elections," he added. Besides, working president and minister Keshab Mahanta and other leaders were present in the AGP Head Office at Ambari, Guwahati where Atul Bora spoke about his plans and programs.
