GUWAHATI: Under the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Special Scheme, Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary distributed bicycles to the students of Kamrup (M) district in Khanapara Veterinary Science College on Friday. He distributed the bicycles to over 10 students, and others will be handed over at a later date. CM’s special scheme is implemented for the students of class IX in government and provincialized schools.

A total of 8608 students in Kamrup (M) District were provided with the bicycles. The meeting was graced by District Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha, who gave the inaugural speech, and Chandra Mohan Patowary, who addressed the programme, saying, “The Chief Minister has taken several schemes for the comprehensive development of Assam regarding all the sections. There have been several schemes that have been made for students, and the government has taken steps for the students by providing them bicycles as they face difficulties while walking to school. Today is the era of competition, and everyone should try to become skilled by working hard to build themselves as human resources. I urge the students to adapt and take advantage of the constant changes in technology.”
