Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launches educational channel 'Gyan Brikshya'

GUWAHATI: With a view to bridging the learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a local educational television channel 'Gyan Brikshya', on Saturday. Sarma stated that the channel will replicate "traditional classes" and will help both students and teachers.

Gyan Brikshya will be available through cable and its channel number will be 12. The channel will be used for academic as well as competitive skill development of the students from class I to XII. As per academic calendar subject-wise live classes will be conducted by different subject experts. Recorded and animated classes on different subjects will also be broadcast from time to time from which both the pupil and the teacher can make notes.
