GUWAHATI: To celebrate the World Consumer Rights Day , an online portal named 'eDaakhil' https://edaakhil.nic.in was launched in Assam by State Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Ranjeet Kr. Dass on Tuesday.
Through this portal, consumers will be able to file their consumer complaints online either themselves or through their advocate. Consumers can also pay their complaint fees online, track the status of the complaint, receive SMS and email alerts etc. The eDaakhil Portal has been developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC).
The launch was attended by senior FCS&CA officials and NIC Assam officials, and it was also attended over VC by NIC Delhi officials, State Consumer Commission officials and officials from all the District Consumer Courts of Assam. Dr. Suchitra Pyarelal, DDG & SIO, NIC Assam welcomed all present and spoke about the usefulness of eDaakhil and its genesis. Amaranatha Mishra, DDG, NIC Delhi, spoke about the features of eDaakhil and NIC Delhi officials gave a presentation on the eDaakhil Application. On the occasion, minister Ranjeet Kr. Dass said, "On this World Consumer Day, we are launching a citizen-centric application named eDaakhil for consumers of Assam. This will facilitate the consumers in online filing of their consumer complaint cases themselves or through advocates, from the comfort of their homes and offices, and consumers will no longer need to visit the consumer courts."
