GUWAHATI: In a heart-wrenching incident, two minor girls who were physically tortured by their employer, were subjected to sexual assault after escaping from their employer’s house.

According to police sources, two minor girls aged 9 years and 15 years respectively, were working as domestic help in the house of Dr Raja Das. Dr Das and his family live in Nilachal Apartments, Patharquary. The girls are from Arunachal Pradesh. They were allegedly subjected to physical torture by the family. Unable to take the torture any more, the two girls fled from the house last Saturday.

The girls were allegedly raped by two ice-cream sellers below the bridge at Matgharia. The girls then took shelter at a tea stall in Narengi Forest Gate. The tea stall owner, Dhiren Majumdar allegedly molested them. The poor girls then fled and took shelter at the Narengi Babu Basti.
