GUWAHATI: "70 per cent of Assam is being dominated by the Miya Muslim community. They have threatened the demographic pattern of Assam. From Dhubri to Golaghat, the Miya Muslims have grabbed the identity of the indigenous people of Assam. Today, the identity of Assamese people is at stake," said Khilanjia (Tholuwa) Ganmancha Assam president Raju Kumar Deka while addressing the media here on Friday. "By grabbing the lands of Satras and Namghars of Assam, the illegal immigrants are threatening the rich culture of Assam," Deka added.
