MLAs Don Traditional Attires to Attend Assam Budget Session

As the Budget session commenced on Monday, MLAs from the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and its alliance parties were seen donning their traditional attire to attend the session.

GUWAHATI: As the Budget session commenced on Monday, MLAs from the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and its alliance parties were seen donning their traditional attire to attend the session.

According to reports, the top brass of the BJP and its alliance parties have instructed the MLAs to wear an article of significance to represent their respective tradition and culture.

According to Assam government spokesperson and Information and Public Relations Minister Pijush Hazarika, the Chief Minister has also directed the MLAs to don their traditional attire. Hazarika underlined that the MLAs will follow this dress code in every Assembly session.
