Mobile vaccination drive held for PWDs & persons without any identity documentation in Guwahati

ERD Foundation and University of Science &Technology Meghalaya conducted a mobile vaccination drive especially for the persons with disabilities (PWDs) and persons without any identity documentation of Kamrup (Metro).

GUWAHATI: ERD Foundation and University of Science &Technology Meghalaya conducted a mobile vaccination drive especially for the persons with disabilities (PWDs) and persons without any identity documentation of Kamrup (Metro).

This drive will cover up to 3000 beneficiaries across different areas of the Kamrup Metro selected by the District Administration and it will continue till June 30.

The drive is focusing on the outskirt areas such as Sonapur, Dimoria, Khetri and the interior of the Jalukbari area. It is also aimed to cover different orphanages and old age homes. It is believed that persons without any identity documentation like street beggars, construction or other worker sections will be benefited more from this drive.

The team is comprised of well trained medical staffs along with competent officers who are relentlessly helping in the process of vaccination and smooth coordination in the roaming centres. The team is also practised giving the vaccine in their homes for Persons with Disability who cannot move and provide all special supports to those people.
