GUWAHATI: The three-day programme titled ‘Aalamban- One Step Towards Self-Reliance’ which included the distribution of artificial limbs, callipers, and mechanical hand prosthetics, organized by the Marwari Yuva Mancha, Guwahati Greater and Guwahati Samridhi branch, concluded on Monday at the Haryana Bhavan in Guwahati. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

Anita Kataria, the first lady of Assam, graced the event as the chief guest. She distributed artificial limbs to two beneficiaries, emphasizing the importance of support and empowerment in the lives of differently-abled individuals. This remarkable initiative brought together individuals from 15 districts of Assam, Nagaland and Meghalaya. A total of 78 callipers were provided to differently-abled individuals free of cost.
