'Mur Porichoy' by Kamrup SP released, poem hails sacrifices of Assam Police constables

The poem was released in a video in Guwahati in the presence of CM Sarbananda Sonowal.

Guwahati: 'Mur Porichoy' a poem composed by Kamrup SP Parthasarathi Mahanta was released in Guwahati in the presence of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday. The poem is a tribute to the Assam police personnel and constables who relentlessly serve the people of the State whenever any hard time comes.

Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Sonowal shared the pictures of the event saying, ''Whether it is COVID-19 or any disasters, @assampolice constables always went out of the way to serve people. Saluting their sacrifice, Kamprup SP Shri Parthasarathi has composed a poem 'Mur Porichoy'. Glad to release this video in Guwahati.''

Along with Sonowal, Sri Hrishikesh Goswami, Press Adviser to the CM, Sri Sanjay Krishna, IAS, Chief Secretary, Assam, Sri Bhaskar Mahanta, IPS, DGP, Assam, Sri GP Singh, IPS, Addl DGP(L&O), Sri Harmeet Singh, IPS, Addl DGP(Admn) along with other senior officials of the State graced the occasion also attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hon'ble CM praised the efforts of Sri Mahanta who despite his tight schedule, made sure to pen down a beautiful piece highlighting the role of constables of Assam Police.
