GUWAHATI: A two-day national seminar will be organized by the Department of Sanskrit, Gauhati University, on "North East India and the Vedas: Traditions and Transformation," sponsored by Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan, on March 10 and 11.
The subthemes of the topic are: Vedic Traditions and Transformations Reflected in the Religious Arena of the People of North East India; Vedic Traditions and Transformations Envisaged in the Literature of North East India; Vedic Traditions and Transformations Projected in the Field of Education in North East India; Vedic Traditions and Transformations Found in the Political Life of North East India; Vedic Traditions and Transformations Reflected in the Socio-Cultural Life of North East India, stated a press release.
