NDRF conducts mock drill in Guwahati City

GUWAHATI: A team of NDRF participated in joint mock drill with IOCL Betkuchi Terminal, Fire & Emergency Services, Health Services, 108 Ambulance Service, and IOCL staff recently.

The mock drill was conducted in presence of general manager of IOCL Sumoti Mohan, representatives of Guwahati Oil Refinery, Sarpara Bottling Plant and Indane Oil Betkuchi and A K Bhatachariya, Inspector of Factories.

The 1st BN NDRF took active participation and assisted plant employees in planning & coordination at the initial stage. The NDRF rescuers participated in exercise with all required response tools and equipments.

According to a release, during the exercise the rescuers established command post and medical base in safety prone area so that monitor the situation and provide pre-hospital treatment to victims. Effective and response drills were rehearsed and practiced to ensure effective speedy and safe operation with very limited equipments.
