GUWAHATI: Commodore Rajiv Ashok (Retd), Managing Director of North East Regional Agriculture Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC), inaugurated their first franchisee outlet at Rajgarh Road, Guwahati, on Monday. This is yet another effort to promote the processed products of entrepreneurs in the NER. It is expected that the visibility created by this will attract more citizens to join hands with NERAMAC. This outlet, aptly named Organic Locals, will sell organic and/or naturally grown horticulture and agriculture products of the NER that are marketed by NERAMAC. The opening of the outlet is another small step for NERAMAC in the organized retail space. The products to be available in this outlet include turmeric powder, green and black Assam tea, various ethnic pickles, jams of indigenous fruits, various types of dry herbs, medicinal dry leaves or powder, juices, dry fruits, etc.
The launch event was graced by Sanjeev Das, AGM-Marketing, NERAMAC, Hrishikesh Talukdar, proprietor of Organic Locals, Sasanka Talukdar, marketing expert, and a host of well-wishers, stated a press release.
