GUWAHATI: Aiming at offering a platform to promising start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs across North East region, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship is organizing the 1st NER Entrepreneurs’ Summit “NERES 1.0” in March 2020 in Guwahati under the sponsorship of North Eastern Council (NEC). In this regard an NERES 1.0 Awareness Workshop was held on Friday at IIE.
Dr.Abhijit Sharma, Director, IIE in his welcome speech informed about the activities of upcoming 1st NER Entrepreneurs’ Summit to be held in collaboration with Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region(FINER) as the industry partner. He said that the NERES 1.0 is aimed at stirring up entrepreneurial minds across the NER states and promote start-up entrepreneurs by offering them with a platform to pitch their business ideas and also addressing various challenges faced by the start-ups. Dr. Sharma said that this mega 2-day summit will promote 20 best business ideas with prize money of Rs 5 lakhs each. The run up to the final summit includes different preliminary activities such as Outreach Programmes in the eight states of North East to generate awareness.
