NF Railway restores frequency of Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express

The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run five trips of a summer special train

GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run five trips of a summer special train between Katihar - Thiruvananthapuram Central - Katihar in both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling towards the Southern part of India. Further, it has also been decided to restore the services of Dibrugarh - Chandigarh - Dibrugarh Express as per its original frequency of bi-weekly.

Special train 05796 (Katihar - Thiruvananthapuram Central) will depart from Katihar at 17:00 hours on all Tuesdays from the 12th of July till the 09th of August, 2022 to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 19:25 hours on every Thursday. Special train 05795 (Thiruvananthapuram Central - Katihar) will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 19:40 hours every Friday from the 15th of July till the 12th of August, 2022 to reach Katihar at 22:30 hours every Sunday. The special train will consist of 22 coaches. There will be 01 AC Three Tier Coach, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, 08 General Seating and 02 Second Class Seating Cum Luggage Coaches.

Train No. 15903 (Dibrugarh- Chandigarh) Express will run as per its original frequency from Dibrugarh at 08:05 hours on Monday & Friday with effect from 22nd July 2022 to reach Chandigarh at 13:20 hours on Wednesday & Sunday. Train No. 15904 (Chandigarh-Dibrugarh) Express will run as per its original frequency from Chandigarh at 23:20 hours on Wednesday & Sunday with effect from 24th July 2022 to reach Dibrugarh at 07:55 hours on Saturday & Wednesday. The special train will consist of 22 coaches. There will be 04 AC Three Tier Coaches, 01 AC Two Tier Coach, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, 03 General Seating, 01 Pantry Car, and 02 Brake, Luggage Cum Generator Car.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available on the IRCTC website and through NTES and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey, a press release said.
