NGO Touch of Humanity distributed solar lamps among poor families

GUWAHATI: 'Let's light up life-Help Us To Help The Needy' – is an initiative taken by Touch of Humanity (NGO) on the auspicious eve of Diwali every year since 2015. Their motive is to encourage eco-friendly Diwali as well as pollution-free environment and to celebrate the festival of lights in the true sense by enlighting people's lives.

Under this initiative they are providing solar lamps to families of poor students who are still deprived of power supply. It is an attempt to support the children to study more and to lighten up their lives.

On Tuesday, the members of the NGO – Hirak Jyoti Bora (founder), Tapan Kumar Das (executive member) along with the guest of honour, Archana Tiwari, founder of Parikalpana, distributed 15 solar lamps to the poor families at Misamari No. 1 and 2 , Raha, Nagaon and they will distribute another 15 solar lamps on November 4 at Hajo.
