GUWAHATI: A NIA Court sentenced on Wednesday eight years of imprisonment for three members of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and two Maoists. They have been given this sentence as the members of the People's Liberation Front were found guilty of imparting training to the Maoists for waging a war against the country. PLA members N Dilip Singh, S Dhiren Singh, and Arnol Singh, as well as Maoists Indranil Chanda and Amit Bagshi, were given this sentence for case number 1/2012. Notably, Amit Bagshi has already been imprisoned since 2009 and Indranil Chanda since 2012.
