GUWAHATI: The two-day North East Public Relations (NEPR) Conclave organized by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Guwahati Chapter in collaboration with Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute (DBHRGFTI) concluded on a positive note today.

The second day of the conclave was graced by Jadav Payeng, the Forest Man of India. At the DBHRGFTI campus, he led a tree plantation drive to start the day. Thereafter, he enthralled the audience with his life’s journey from childhood, when planting trees became his mission, sharing interesting anecdotes in the session on ‘Promoting sustainability through films’. The session was moderated by noted documentary filmmaker Sanjib Parashar, who has captured the work of Jadav Payeng in an award winning documentary, and Surajit Sinha Roy, Joint Secretary, PRSI Guwahati Chapter, stated a press release.

In the subsequent session, noted environment activist Rituraj Phukan shared his thoughts and perspectives on the theme ‘Using Sustainable Practises in Film Making” in a session moderated by Sita Baruah, Secretary, PRSI Guwahati Chapter. The valedictory session featured popular filmmaker and youth icon Kenny Basumatary, who shared his experiences as a filmmaker. The session was moderated by Ruma Chakravarty, Vice Chairperson, PRSI Guwahati Chapter.
