GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to operate a special train between Agartala-Kolkata-Agartala via Deoghar for one trip on both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers. In addition, to clear the extra rush of passengers, running of the special train between Dibrugarh-SMVT Bengaluru-Dibrugarh will continue for another13 trips each on both directions from August 2 to October 28 next.
According to a press release, Special Train No 05628 (Agartala-Kolkata) will depart from Agartala at 3 pm on August 6, reaching Kolkata at 8:50 am on August 8. Special Train No 05627 (Kolkata-Agartala) will depart from Kolkata railway station at 6 am on August 9, reaching its destination of Agartala railway station at 3 am on August 11. The Special Train will consist of 16 coaches. There will be one AC 3-tier coach, six sleeper-class coaches, seven general second-class coaches and two luggage-cum-guard vans.
To facilitate the movement of people of Upper Assam towards southern part of India, Special Train No 02986/02987 (Dibrugarh-SMVT Bengaluru-Dibrugarh) will run as per its existing timings, stoppages and composition.
Moreover, train No 05801/05802 (New Bongaigaon-Guwahati-New Bongaigaon passenger special train), which was earlier extended to run up to Jagiroad till August 2, has been further extended till September 30.
The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers have been requested to see these details before undertaking their journey.
