Northeast Print Tech Skill Honing Programme At Maniram Dewan Trade Centre

GUWAHATI: Printing Technologist Consortium of the Northeast gears up to organize its third edition of North East Print Tech 2019 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre with a four-day-long programme from September 7.

Addressing the press at Guwahati Press Club on Sunday, president of Printing Technologist Consortium of North East Pranab Kumar Talukdar said, “A workshop will be organized for skill development for those engaged in different departments of print industry to attune them with modern technology. An exhibition of the machines related with print technology will also be organized. For the first time we’re going to organize such a programme where international delegates will take part. Organizations from Bangladesh, Bhutan have already made it clear to take part on the occasion.”

A seminar will also be held for working journalists and the prime focus of the seminar will be technological aspects of print media, including graphics and layout. Another initiative has also been taken for educating the young generation and to make them aware of the business opportunities and employment in the industry.

According to the organizers, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will formally inaugurate the programme supported by IPAMA, APCU, AIFMP and Assam School of Journalism.
