OBASSG organized blood donation camp on the occasion of Independence Day

The Old Boys Association Sainik School Goalpara (OBASSG) organized voluntary blood donation camps simultaneously at seven places (Guwahati, Dhemaji, Nalbari, Tezpur, Goalpara, Sivsagar, and Jorhat)

 GUWAHATI: The Old Boys Association Sainik School Goalpara (OBASSG) organized voluntary blood donation camps simultaneously at seven places (Guwahati, Dhemaji, Nalbari, Tezpur, Goalpara, Sivsagar, and Jorhat) on the occasion of Independence Day. The central programme at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, was inaugurated by Dr. B. B. Borthakur, the director, in the presence of members from OBASSG and the BBCI fraternity. In his speech, he praised the enthusiasm of the OBASSG members who have been celebrating Independence by donating Blood at BBCI for the last fourteen years and appealed to continue it for years to come. A total of 201 units of blood were donated at the seven locations mentioned above. At all the places, many members who came to donate were denied on some health grounds, stated a press release.
